OUR STORY

Starting in 1984 as a structured cabling systems provider, Federal Communications Group (FCG) was founded in Tempe, Arizona.

 

FCG was acquired in 1999. Between 1999 and 2011, IES consisted of a group of electrical contractors. IES’ corporate vision was to achieve synergies associated with several other industry consolidations.

 

In 2011, IES began a strategy to move away from the cyclical nature of electrical contracting and towards strategic platforms with sustainable competitive positions or leadership positions.

 

In 2019, the IES Communications Division, a subsidiary of IES Holdings, Inc. became IES Communications, LLC. With the full support of our parent company, IES Holdings, Inc., these improvements will allow the IES Communications name to stand independently and better embody our organization and its vision.
