What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials, and assist with visitor and employee screening in accordance with site protocols and post orders.
• Support emergency and evacuation procedures, render assistance within post guidelines, and maintain detailed incident logs, daily activity reports, and other required records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
