ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles. Fleet manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations. Fleet Manager will make the ultimate decision whether a vehicle is safe to have on the road.
70% of Time the Fleet Manager
- Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
- Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
- Managing vehicle licensure and registration
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
- Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
30% of time as a Mechanic
- Independently perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance work to diesel and small engines.
- Performs safety inspections on vehicles and equipment
- Independently perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance work to diesel and small engines.
- Perform any other necessary related duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience maintaining and servicing automotive equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle operation, maintenance requirements and driving codes.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License
- Must have and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must have a clear criminal history; no felonies or Class A misdemeanors.
- At least 5 years of maintenance or related experience required.
- At least 3 years of fleet or equipment maintenance management experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Must be able to:
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Adapt to temperature changes (including extreme heat).

Job Type: FT Exempt Position
Salary: $ 65,000-$85,000 (Commiserate with experience)
