The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Entry-Level or Associate Production Operations Specialist(2nd Shift)to join the Air Dominance Operations team in the Advanced Composite Fabrication Center (ACFC) located in Mesa, AZ

This position will require strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively work with the build team to support various proprietary programs. Ideal candidates will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.    

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Mesa, AZ. 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Develops and implements manufacturing processes composite fabrication operations.

  • Coordinates with Materials & Processes and engineering support teams

  • Reviews and approves technical documents to include impacts to production

  • Compiles and provides management status reports for corrective/preventative action.

  • Serves as primary interface with internal customers

  • Analyzes changing trends and assists and/or develops projected manpower allocation.

  • Leads projects and participates in technical research on proposed projects.

  • Assists with the preparation and justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation.

  • Translates data into actionable plan for implementation within the organization

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1-3 years’ experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes

  • 1-3 years’ experience coordinating with Materials & Processes, engineering and/or other engineering support.

  • 1-3 years' experience analyzing changing trends and develops projected manpower allocation.

  • 1-3 years' experience translating data into an actionable plan for implementation within the organization.

  • 1-3 years' of experience compiling and providing management status reports for corrective/preventative action.

  • Experience and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and the ability to learn in house systems.

  • Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills with leadership and colleagues in an operations environment.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Active Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience with Advanced Composite Fabrication

  • Experience directly supporting a proprietary program

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in reviewing and approving technical documents to include cure recipes, post cure analysis, and acceptance criteria.

  • Minimum of 2 year leading projects and participating in technical research on proposed projects.

  • Minimum of 2 year assisting with the preparation and justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

The Boeing Global Supply Chain and Systems Engineering organization within Engineering Test & Technology (ET&T) is seeking an Entry-Level Technical Drafter to join our Product Standards Office team in Huntsville, AL; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; or Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Technical collaboration with the Boeing Engineering community, representatives from other Boeing functions, and the external standards community for the development and configuration management of data related to Boeing Part Standards and external Government and Industry Standards
  • Effectively communicate and utilize computing tools for the management of this data across the enterprise
  • Translate engineering requirements into product definition data to communicate requirements to downstream customers
  • Validate completed product definition data to Company and industry standards
  • Create and maintain product definition data processes
  • Maintain product/part model structure and configuration management of CAD representations for Part Standards data delivery at an Enterprise level
  • Follow specific instructions to translate sketches or layouts and written specifications of engineering requirements into product definition data (e.g., 3D model, Excel table, assembly and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data) based on applicable standards and established precedents
  • Assist with self-validation of product definition data to ensure the accuracy of completed work

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Associate’s degree or higher, a technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience
  • Experience with 3D solid modeling software applications (e.g. NX, Catia, CADD)
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with a PLM system such as Teamcenter
  • Experience with configuration management principles
  • Experience with drafting, GD&T, and/or 3D modeling
