Job Summary

Transcend Security Solutions is hiring for Unarmed Security Officers and Patrol Officers in the Central Phoenix and East Valley!

Full-Time Openings:

• MESA: Wed- 1p-9p, Thu-Sat 7a-7p (42 hours weekly starting at $18.50)
• TEMPE: Thur-Fri 2p-10p, Sat-Sun 6p-6a (40 hours weekly starting at $20.00)
• PHOENIX: Mon-Fri 10p-6a (40 hours weekly starting at $19.00)

Part-Time Openings:

• PHOENIX: Thursday/Friday 0700-2030 (27 hours weekly starting at $19.00)
• PHOENIX: Thursday: Midnight-7am, 6p-7a, Friday 6p-Midnight (26 hours weekly starting at $19.00)

Patrol Division:

• Thurs-Saturday 2000-0600 (30 hours weekly starting at $19.00)
• Tues-Friday 2000-0600 (40 hours weekly starting at $19.00)
• Sat-Tues 2000-0600 (40 hours weekly starting at $19.00)

We are looking for professional security guards to protect our premises, assets and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.

Responsibilities

• Protect client property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
• Report in detail any suspicious incidents
• Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
• An extremely high-level of customer service skills are needed.
• Routine heavy lifting may be required.
• Routine walking is required.
• Climbing Staircases multiple times throughout shift may be required.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of residents, visitors, and other persons, in order to maintain security of the entirety of the building.
• Knowledgeable about residential and/or commercial rules, and effectively answer inquiries specific to the property.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Effectively understand and utilize technology products such as a smartphone, computer, tablet, etc.
• Ability to prepare reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Spelling and grammar skills are essential.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.

Skills

• Experience as a security guard or relevant position
• Trained security officer with diploma
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation
• Integrity and professionalism
• High school degree

Job Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current Arizona Security Guard License
• At least 1 year of experience as security guard preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and 21 years old for Patrol Officer roles.
• Must be able to pass an in-depth criminal background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening. (This is a zero tolerance work environment).
• Must have a reliable means of transportation.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to effectively speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to pass an English composition assessment upon request (This ensures the ability to utilize proper grammar & spelling for report writing).
• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Pay: $18.50 - $21.50 per hour
