| JOB SUMMARY: |
This position is responsible for providing case management assistance to the Department of Child Safety Specialists.
Alternative work hours may be required, including overtime, weekends and holidays at the discretion of the supervisor.
Candidates who are successfully employed as Case Aide for five (5) years will be eligible to apply for a promotional opportunity to a DCS Specialist Position, grade 16 ($34,978/annually).
| JOB DUTIES: |
- Supervises visitation meetings among clients (natural parents and children) to ensure
compliance
- Assists DCS Case Managers with filing, disclosers, packets, case notes, etc.
- Enters case notes into Children’s Information Library and Data Source (CHILDS) system
- Drives on state business
- Assists clients with application processes as needed
- Provides other clerical support
- Transports children to scheduled appointments
- Participates in a variety of meetings and/or client hearings, as requested
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

- Learn and adhere to DCS policies and regulations applicable to assigned programs

| SELECTIVE PREFERENCE(S): |
Requires the possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).
Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
Must be able to secure and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card.
Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from the CPS Central Registry.
