Full Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, friendly Valet to park cars for our establishment. The Valet's responsibilities include greeting guests, parking cars carefully, and returning vehicles quickly when guests are ready to leave.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Arrive on time in perfect uniform and properly groomed before clocking in

-Properly complete vehicle damage survey, and parking location on each claim ticket

-Effectively, efficiently and safely park and return guest vehicles

-Practice proper key handling and safe/effective parking / retrieval of guest vehicles

-Follow proper attendance and time keeping processes, including clocking in / out for shifts and breaks, and tip reporting

-Attend required staff meetings; complete required training modules in a timely manner

-Use and maintain needed equipment and supplies

-Maintain a work-friendly atmosphere and a team environment

-Keep valet area clean and professional at all times

-Maintain a high level of communication and service for all guests and clients

-Anticipate guest needs and resolve guest issues proactively or in a timely manner

-Maintain personal and vehicle safety precautions at all times

-Use of personal cell phones may be required for work purposes

-Other duties as assigned by Site Manager or Account Manager

Qualifications

Basic Requirements of Position:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each requirement satisfactorily.

1. Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle preferred

2. Ability to run to retrieve vehicles many times during a shift

3. Clean cut, professional, uniform appearance

4. Enjoy interacting with the public, freely offering assistance

5. Working outside regardless of weather conditions

6. Ability to perform lifting, bending and standing throughout shift

7. Ability to safely drive and park vehicles of different sizes, makes, and models

8. Must be knowledgeable of account location(s), and approved parking areas

9. Must understand, follow, and uphold all company policies and procedures

 

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Customer service experience preferred; customer service attitude and a willing, helpful demeanor is mandatory

 

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, associates are is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. Associates are frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions. The work environment can be noisy and will be surrounded by moving vehicles driven by employees and the general public.

 

Physical Demands:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. Associates must be able to lift up to 50lbs as needed. Standing for up to 8 hours at a time, and running to and from vehicles and parking areas multiple times during a shift to retrieve cars.

Associates are required to verbally communicate, as well as have the ability to hear clearly in often noisy and chaotic environments.
