Hourly Salary Range:
$45.85 - $60.98

DESCRIPTION
The Water Utilities Technical Services Supervisor will assist in developing and implementing technical solutions that assure the reliable operation of water and wastewater systems and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) at the water plants and field.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in conceptualizing, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, securing, documenting and proactively managing utility technology infrastructure for Municipal Utilities, including industrial network related software, hardware and equipment (i.e., radio, wired and wireless networks; physical and virtual servers; enterprise storage systems; and infrastructure systems and applications).
- Ability to troubleshoot and test at various locations; water plants, fields sites.
- Analyze system operations for implementing technology.
- Train, motivate, assign and oversee the work of staff; establish schedules and methods for work performed; ensure adherence to proper workgroup procedures and policies.
- Provide advanced technical expertise regarding programable logic controller (PLC) and SCADA network services for local and area-wide networks.
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging SCADA network systems, technologies, architectures and products.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience:
Requires four (4) years of experience in technical solutions in business software systems, including two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience. Utility systems experience preferred.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Education:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a course of study related to the core functions of this position.
The term “equivalent” means that directly related work experience exceeding the required work experience will substitute in equal time increments for college-level education, for example: one year of additional directly related work experience will substitute for one year of college education (30 credit hours).
Certification, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
