JOB OVERVIEW:
Part of a team responsible for repair and maintenance of 450 air conditioning units consisting of heat pumps, chilled water systems, DX dehumidifiers and descant dehumidifiers. Will respond to corrective and preventative maintenance duties as well as assist in new installations and commissioning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Charges and recovers refrigerant from air conditioning and refrigeration equipment following all EPA regulations
• Installs, services, modifies, and repairs numerous types of air conditioning, refrigeration, dehumidification, heating, and air handling equipment
• Designs, fabricates, and installs ductwork
• Designs and installs piping systems for PVC, copper and steel which require sizing, cutting, gluing, threading, brazing, and silver soldering
• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electric power and control circuits. Installs conduit and wiring equipment
• Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
• Performs routine inspection and maintenance; performs preventative maintenance
• Designs, fabricates, and installs pneumatic and hydraulic power and control systems
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• High School or General Education Diploma (GED). 5+ years of related experience
• Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate
• Knowledge of heating and theory and application; knowledge of heating and electronics; skill in silver soldering
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and employees
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to obtain ATF Processor license and NDS driving background check
