Job Summary:
Operates heavy engineering equipment and material handling equipment to include, but not to be limited to: Road graders, bulldozers, front end loaders and 20-ton dump trucks. Perform road maintenance and snow removal at the direction of Physical Plant Supervisor I. Perform routine inspections and operator level maintenance. Turn-in equipment to maintenance shop chief for periodic maintenance and services, maintain documentation as required. On occasion, supervises a Department of Corrections work crew or individuals performing road maintenance, construction or maintenance of barbed wire fences, and clearing vegetation from igloos.
