Skyline offers analytical services to the mining industry. When a mine wants to know if they have copper, gold or silver in their soil they send us samples in the form of core or rock ship. Sample Prep Technician: this position receives the samples of core, rock ship, or soil. These samples are split, crushed, and pulverized to create a powder-size sample. 1st shift, M-F, $17.25/hr, 5a-1:30p, option for volutnary OT on Saturday This labor-intensive position has prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 65 lbs. Employees in this position are exposed to the powder dust and are required to wear a respirator and personal protective equipment provided by the company.
