Our WestRock- Star Pizza Box plant in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking qualified candidates to fill Wrapper Positions in the Production department.

The schedule is Monday – Thursday, 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Overtime as needed due to customer demands.

Starting pay is $16.81 per hour, which increases to $17.33 per hour after a 90-day probationary period.

The Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, good communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, experience in manufacturing, and a strong desire to succeed and advance in the company.

How you will Impact WestRock:

Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform duties as assigned, either verbally and/or written.
Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules,
Plate and ink setups, and machine operation to produce multiple print runs per shift.
Visually inspect finished product and printing plates; to improve and maintain quality in the process.
Understanding of Quality Inspection Criteria
Execute end-of-day and weekly machine cleaning while keeping the entire work area neat and organized.
Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with other team members in a noisy work environment.
Use basic mechanical ability to operate tools, set up, and adjust the machine.
Use basic math skills to count production quantities, measure raw materials, and finished product.

What you need to succeed:

Ability to lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
Meet minimum piece rates of 8000-12,000 per day or averaging 18-26 (50ct) cases per hour.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time.
Good communication skills including the ability to interact with other levels of management and staff.
Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Must be flexible on shift as overtime is required

Employee Relief Fund

Our Employee Relief Fund provides financial assistance to team members who suffer hardship due to a natural or man-made disaster.

In 2018, the Fund provided more than $1.1 million grants to more than 400 team members who experienced financial hardship due to a hurricane, flood or home fire. Since the Fund was established in 2005, more than 1,000 grants totaling more than $2.3 million have been provided to WestRock team members.
